Recipes and stock

Link products to raw-material ingredients so your stock stays accurate automatically.

Recipes and the bill of materials

A recipe (or bill of materials) links a sellable product to the raw-material ingredients it consumes — for example, a burger recipe might consume a bun, a patty, and a slice of cheese in specific quantities. Setting this up once per product is what allows BeeOS to track true ingredient-level stock rather than just counting finished items.

Automatic stock deduction

When an order is completed, BeeOS deducts the ingredient quantities defined in each product's recipe from your on-hand stock automatically. You do not need to adjust inventory by hand after every sale — the numbers reconcile as orders happen.

Purchasing to replenish stock

When ingredient stock runs low, record a purchase from your supplier. Entering a purchase adds the received quantities back into inventory and keeps a record of what was bought, from whom, and at what cost, so your stock levels and purchasing history stay in sync.
